Position: Writer I

Thinkso is seeking a smart, adept writer who has both excellent grammar skills and is a strong problem-solver. This is a great entry-level position for someone just starting their career or who has 1 – 2 years of professional experience.

Working with our editorial team, you’ll learn from the best while developing skills in writing, marketing strategy, communications, and content strategy across a wide array of media. In this role, you’ll be responsible for a variety of tasks, from proofreading, to writing long- and short-form editorial, to contributing to creative concepting.

To qualify, you must:

  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have experience in or an interest in DEI issues and best practices
  • Be proficient on the Mac platform, Google Docs, and the major social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook).
  • Have a can-do and never-let-it-fail attitude.
  • Align with Thinkso’s core values.

Details on the Role & Responsibilities:

A Writer I at Thinkso has basic responsibilities in each of these areas:

  • Client work product
  • Thinkso’s own marketing materials
  • Administrative support

Specific responsibilities comprise:

  • Writing clear, effective, engaging copy for client projects across a range of media, including articles, websites, advertising, eblast campaigns, brochures, and more.
  • Refining copy based on feedback from senior editorial staff and partners.
  • Proofreading your and others’ work, upholding the grammatical and stylistic integrity of the content that crosses your desk.
  • Assisting with the development of creative concepts, in collaboration with the project team.
  • Learning Thinkso’s methodology for developing brand strategies and editorial voices.
  • Assisting with discovery-phase tasks, such as conducting desk research, writing surveys, participating in interviews, etc.
  • Contributing to Thinkso’s own marketing by writing copy for and helping manage the firm’s portfolio and digital communications projects.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks, such as updating the firm’s CRM, handling client mailings, or any task assigned by the operations manager or partners.

  • Salary: $62,400, non-negotiable*, plus opportunity for annual bonus
