Creative Marketing Strategist

We’re looking for a marketing strategist to lead the creative and tactical development of various projects. In this position, you will meet with clients to understand their objectives, lead research (qualitative interviews, online surveys, desk research), establish strategy, brainstorm concepts with Thinkso’s creative team (writers and designers), write and produce strategy decks, and make presentations to clients. Projects will range from a global brand identity to a small email campaign and everything in between—for any industry.

To qualify, you must:

  • Have 5+ years of similar experience at another creative agency, with a firm handle on creative development and marketing processes and channels
  • Possess excellent written and verbal skills
  • Have the ability to work independently as well as collaborate with the firm’s partners and co-workers
  • Enjoy camaraderie, Friday lunches, and happy hours on terraces overlooking Manhattan streets

Bonus points for expertise in any of the following:

  • Digital, social media or e-marketing
  • Information architecture, content strategy, or wireframing for web projects

Designers (Mid-level to Senior)

We’re looking for mid-level and senior designers to work on identity systems, websites, print collateral, and marketing campaigns for clients in a range of sectors—including finance, nonprofit, medicine, education, and commercial.

To qualify, you must:

  • Have 3 – 10+ years of agency design experience
  • Possess excellent concepting, typography, and layout skills
  • Command superior knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Have working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Respect editorial and production processes
  • Be organized and methodical with files
  • Be able to take charge but also collaborate with the team

Information Architect/UX Designer

We’re looking for an information architect (IA) to analyze both client and end-user needs and leverage the findings into sitemaps, wireframes, and functional specification documents for websites. The IA will collaborate closely with our strategists, writers, project managers, and partners to create the best possible user interactions and flow for our clients’ sites while also highlighting key branding and marketing concerns.

To qualify, you must:

  • Have 3+ years of experience as an information architect or interactive/UX designer
  • Possess mastery of Gliffy or Balsamiq
  • Have excellent written and verbal skills
  • Be able to work independently as well as collaborate with the team

Senior Writer

We are seeking a multi-talented senior writer who can write ad copy for an investment bank one day and help create a marketing plan for a nonprofit the next.

To qualify, you must:

  • Have worked for other creative agencies.
  • Write in clear, concise, plain English, while layering on a unique editorial voice according to the client’s brand and target audience
  • Are skilled at developing and writing comprehensive, effective, creative positioning and marketing strategies for clients
  • Love the big picture and the details
  • Can take complex material and industry jargon and streamline them into linear, engaging stories
  • Enjoy working in many media formats (traditional and digital), on all sizes of projects, and for a wide range of client sectors
  • Want to break new ground
  • Are comfortable taking a project and running with it, but also enjoys collaborating with the team
  • Are a nice, normal person who likes working hard and having fun

We are looking for an experienced, client-facing project manager to handle one of our largest accounts. The candidate is a smart, multi-talented individual who understands both the inner workings of a creative agency and the needs of corporate clients. You will be the hub that keeps everything working in harmony and ensures delivery that’s on time and on budget, all with effortless grace.

To qualify, you must:

  • Have 5+ years of experience at another creative agency managing budgets, schedules, and client accounts
  • Be extremely organized, punctual, and obsessed with detail
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Understand production processes for both traditional and digital media
  • Be able to work independently as well as collaborate with the firm’s partners and co-workers

Design & Marketing Interns

College juniors and seniors as well as recent graduates are welcome to apply for a design internship or a marketing internship at Thinkso.

We are currently filling these timeframes:

  • Winter 2015: January through May
  • Summer 2015: June through September

Thinkso interns are responsible for assisting with:

  • Client and internal projects
  • Presentation preparation
  • Marketing, operational, and administrative tasks

Bonus points for:

  • Digital design experience and passion (websites, mobile apps, email templates)
  • Doing whatever it takes to get the job done
  • Balancing the ability to take direction with taking initiative

Internships at Thinkso pay a stipend in addition to counting toward college credit.
