Mascot Madness is Back!

Do you pick your teams based on their color palette, logo, uniform design and mascot? Then you’ve come to the right place.

On the eve of the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Mens Basketball Tournament, we’ll highlight key match ups, make our predictions and provide our own brand of “color commentary” on our blog at thinkso.com/sayso. Mascot will battle mascot. Sans will battle serif. Until May 3 when only one will be left standing.

You know the drill. To get started, download the Mascot Madness tournament bracket, make your picks and follow along. Not by team, but by mascot. The way it should be done!

Paper, Recommended.

Thinkso worked with Mohawk Fine Papers to revamp the “Shop by Project” section of their online paper store. We moved away from the highly technical, dropdown-based interface in favor of a 4-step “Paper Wizard” which drastically simplified the paper selection process. We also introduced “Quick Recommendations” and a tab-based interface to make it easy to compare potential options.

DrupalCon Chicago!

Adam Snetman travels to DrupalCon Chicago to co-present Thinkso’s rebranding and website design for Expeditionary Learning with Todd Nienkerk of Four Kitchens. The session, Don’t Design Websites. Design web SYSTEMS!, used the EL redesign as a case study of the design process and the collaboration between designers and developers.

American Express OPEN features Thinkso

American Express OPEN, the company’s small business service division, features Thinkso as one of five branding firms in their web series Project RE:Brand. Thinkso was tasked with rebranding Finish Line, a New York City based physical therapy practice. The purpose of the project was to provide OPEN clients with the opportunity to view and learn from real branding projects.

Pink Robots WIN!

The Pink Robots, Thinkso’s adopted all-girl robotics team, came in first place out of the 24 middle school teams that competed in the qualifying round of the FIRST Lego League robotics tournament. The girls dazzled the judges with their enthusiasm, teamwork, and innovative ideas—no to mention their Thinkso-designed uniforms! The team will advance to the NJ state tournament to be held on Dec. 12 in Mount Olive, NJ.

AmEx Launches “Reality” Branding Project Featuring Thinkso

Later this month, American Express Open, the company’s small business service division, will launch Project RE:Brand. Thinkso is one of five branding agencies featured in the series. AmEx hired each agency to rebrand a small business and documented the processes in reality-style webisodes. The purpose of the project is to provide all Open clients with the opportunity to view and learn from real branding projects. Thinkso’s three webisodes will launch in December. Stay tuned!

Platinum PR Awards Honorable Mention

The 2009 Mount Sinai Department of Medicine Annual Report, The People Behind the Medicine, received two honorable mentions in the 2010 PRNews Platinum PR Awards. Thinkso’s third consecutive annual report for the hundred year old New York City medical institution was in good company along with reports from PepsiCo, Aetna and Thomson Reuters.
