A site that boasts “big city” collaboration

Long known for its premier hedge fund practice, Manhattan-based law firm Schulte Roth & Zabel looked to bring its full array of strengths and sophistication to the fore — highlighting their international capabilities, uniquely collaborative culture, and other specialty areas. The firm selected Thinkso to design and write the site in collaboration with longtime friend and developer RubensteinTech.

“It was great to work with a team that knows the legal space—both Thinkso, from a creative and content point of view, and Rubenstein Tech, from a technical one. Together, they designed a cutting-edge, sophisticated site that is very much in tune with who we are as a firm. We couldn’t be happier with the finished product.” Claire Pappas, Director of Marketing & Business Development, Schulte Roth & Zabel

More so than many of their peers, Schulte puts a premium on deep collaboration and hands-on partner involvement across all the practices and industries they specialize in. To emphasize this, the homepage leverages full-color custom photography, memorable messaging, and a highly efficient site architecture.

Takeover pages provide a simple but holistic content overview for each section and help establish a system of content color-coding used throughout the site.

Another key part of our strategy was uniting practice areas, firm news, and thought leadership as “Resources.” Our goal was twofold: to make it more intuitive for users to find what they’re looking for, and to drive users to the practice area pages, which traditionally receive very little traffic. The new, easy-to-navigate portal lets users search by format or topic, showcasing the breadth of the firm’s offerings—and facilitating cross-selling.

To further enhance organization and usability, a set of custom icons were created for the “Resources” page to easily identify different content formats, such as firm news, alerts, publications, and events. Each is included and displayed as part of a detailed search function for maximum scannability.

Interior pages are highly structured and organized. They allow ample space for lengthy content—accommodating the firm’s prolific publishing and thought leadership programs. And detailed bios for hundreds of attorneys, from first year associates to veteran firm leadership, are quickly and easily accessible.
