Thinkso’s culture can be described as a unique combination of “uptight” and “down to earth.” On one hand, we’re all Type A — laser focused on the task at hand, continually striving to deliver the best quality in the most efficient way possible. And yet Thinksorts are a rather laid back bunch, some of the friendliest, most supportive people you’ll ever meet. We have no tolerance for divas or drama. We love quirkiness, humor, and creativity. And we look for relationships with clients who prioritize great work over smooth talk.

Our core values are embedded in our processes and practices. We use them to direct our decision making, and course correct when we get off track. Although we may not always succeed, we endeavor to embody these values in everything we do.
Our rigorous project management, the way in which we communicate, even our file naming protocol. Thinkso operates as a well-oiled machine to support frictionless creativity and ensure every detail is attended to, so that we can deliver excellence in our client work. Our annual pro bono program — Give a Brand! — provides each of us with the opportunity to give back in a substantive and deeply meaningful way. Our scrappiness shines through in our eagerness to tackle new challenges and acquire new skills. And from our graffiti wall to SnackWars to Clarence (our plastic pet cockroach), we look for fun, silly, and clever ways to enjoy this crazy ride.
While the satisfaction of a job well done is its own kind of reward, we do provide a few additional perks.
Thinkso provides a catered lunch to the whole staff each week. Get your order in by 10 a.m. Listen for the lunch bell, because we eat it together. Cuisine ranges from sushi to bar-b-que, and always includes vegetarian options, natch.
On a Friday in August, we shutter the office and spend “Flake Day” someplace special and sunny. Whether on the beach or in the woods, it’s a day to goof off and bond with each other. Getting paid to be at summer camp? Yes, please.
Give a Brand!
It’s our annual pro bono event where we completely rebrand an underfunded nonprofit. Brilliance emerges; high jinks ensue. At the end, we deliver a new brand identity and materials, ready for use. You’ve never had so much fun making the world a better place.
Does anyone ever get any work done during the last week of the year? We don’t think so either. That’s why we all shut down and recharge our creative batteries every year between Christmas and New Year’s.
Thinkso funds classes and conferences to help our staff learn new skills and broaden their perspectives. It’s based on the Thinksort’s tenure and potential, and the resources on hand.
Thursday Happy Hours
We call it “Cocktales.” Every Thursday we come together to hear a guest speaker, work on an art project together, or just enjoy each other. Always with with adult beverages. Sometimes with cake. Because cake is awesome.
