The race between our three Give a Brand! finalists has entered its final weeks. This year, each finalist is on a mission to improve public health, whether it be at home or abroad.
Here’s a quick review of our final contenders:
The Addis Clinic
The Addis Clinic is a telemedicine nonprofit dedicated to bridging the gap in healthcare training in remote areas of East Africa and other parts of the world. Using the clinic’s app built specifically for use in low-connectivity settings, frontline healthcare workers are able to connect directly with a global network of volunteer physicians to facilitate life-saving care otherwise not available.
Saul’s Light Foundation
With the understanding that there is little pain greater than losing or potentially losing a child, Saul’s Light Foundation provides financial relief and community support to New Orleans’ families whose newborns are admitted to the NICU. The Foundation takes an all-inclusive support approach, shepherding families through every phase of the NICU journey, connecting them with local grief counselors and alternative therapy options, and reducing their out-of-pocket nonmedical costs.
Through the power of oral health, the Unspoken Smiles Foundation promotes both long-term health and economic security in the world’s most disadvantaged regions. The Foundation provides early oral health treatment and education for children, and dental assistance fellowships to young women with otherwise inadequate earning opportunities, empowering them with a sustainable career.
